Married in The Bahamas

A couple should arrive in the Bahamas at least three
days before the wedding date to facilitate an
interview with Barrington Brennen and to place an
application for the marriage license. The
Bahamas Law states that the couple must reside in The Bahamas for 24 hours prior to the
application date. A Bahamian-issued license to get
married is valid for 90 days for those seeking an early
application.

The marriage license fee of $100 ($B/$US ) is
paid to the Marriage Registry, Shirley Street,
Nassau.

The marriage officer will require a fee to officiate
at the wedding. The fee will be communicated to the
couple after submission of the Wedding Request Form

Divorced persons are required to present their
divorce documents.

Print and complete the
Wedding Request Form and e-mail it to the
address shown below.
