What Are You
a Seventh-day Adventist?
The pastor's winter
pulpit series January to February 2016
"Why
are you a Seventh-day Adventist?" [
Take Survey
] This is
the title of Barrington Brennen's first pulpit series
for 2016 here at Grant's Town Seventh-day Adventist
Church. The series begins on January 2,
2016, with the title, "New Beginnings." The
six-part series will fan the flame of enthusiasm for
Adventism. It will also cause you to think deeply
about why you believe what you believe. It
will remind us all of the foundation of our faith and
where we are heading. It will also help us
to become "contagious Adventists." This
series is important because our reasons for being an
Adventist will be tested very soon according to our
Biblical understanding.
Can your reasons withstand
intense scrutiny,
ridicule, mockery, laughter, scorn, persecution?
How firm do you stand on what your believe? When
you think you are anchored deep in the ground of your
beliefs you might actually be only on a shallow surface
with only the dust of good looks, traditions, and
misconceptions, covering your feet. Don't miss
this series.
I would like to hear from
you. Would you kindly send the reason(s) why you
are an Adventist today. I will not reveal your
name without permission. Sending it does not
automatically mean that your will be indentified.
Send
your reason(s) to
barringtonbrennen@gmail.com
I am also creating a shot
video interview on the subject. If you are
interested of being asked on camera "Why you are an
Adventist?" feel free to respond when I come around to
you. You answer is to be short. Just one or
two sentences. The video will be used on Sabbath,
January 9 , 2016.
