Memorial Service
for Harry Gardiner
July 31, 2015
There
will be a memorial service for Harry Gardiner,
affectionately called "Pork Chop", on Sunday, August 16,
2015, at 11:00 a.m. Harry died in February
2015 at age 65. Harry is a long-time member of
Grant's Town Church and resident of the Wellington
Street. He was on the hearts of many members as
they cared for and nurtured him over the years. He
is survived by numerous relatives including his brother
Floyd Duncombe, and Lucy and Anthony Green, Barrington
Brennen and Claudia Seymour. Harry was a faithful
and trusted worker for Kelly's Lumber for thirty years.
Delbert Neilly
Dies
July 23, 2015
On
Wednesday, July 22, 2015, Delbert Joseph Neilly, age 76,
died after a long illness. He has six children and
ten grand children. He wife died several years
earlier. He was a faithful member of Grant's
Town who was baptized by Pastor Peter Joseph.
Funeral arrangements to be decided.

ORDINATION OF DEACONS AND ELDER: Today in the
11:00 a.m. Divine Service there will be an ordination of
three deacons. They are Adrian Outten, Tyrone Paul, Jr.,
and Terex Newton. There will also be an ordination of
one elder, Obed Datus. We praise the Lord for this young
men, all in the mid twenties, who are living godly lives
and serving the Lord, the church and community
faithfully.
ATTENTION ENGAGED AND COURTING COUPLES
Will
all engaged and seriously courting couples kindly meet
with the pastor next Sabbath (July 25) at 6:00 p.m. in
the pastor’s office. This includes mixed couples (where
one person is of a different faith) and couples where
both individuals are Adventists. If you are engaged to
be married or very seriously dating, hoping one day to
reach engagement, then you are expected to be there.
It is imperative that both partners attend this meeting.
However if there is any logistical reason both partners
cannot attend, one partner is still encouraged to
attend. Kindly be on time because this meeting is
sandwiched between the ending of Bible Class and the
beginning of Adventist Youth Ministries. This meeting
will last for thirty minutes. You will get important
information and documents.

her sister, Kathy Hall, age 54, on Sunday, July 12, 2015
• The family Lisa Monique Smith who passed away last
week after a long illness. She was 48. Funeral service
will be at the Grant's Town Church on Sunday, July 26,
2015, at 1 p.m. Lisa Smith is the sister to Tonia
Atherley, Julie Davis, Beverley Brown and Gina Moncur.
• Ella Collie and family on the loss of her mother.
Funeral service is being held in Long Island this
weekend.

Conference experience of Alexandria Scott
Summer Pulpit
Series.
Join
us at Grant's Town Church during the summer months for
the Summer Pulpit Series entitled
"The Sermon on the Mount . . . The hidden and
no-so-hidden truths." The series will be
each Sabbath the pastor speaks during the summer. Come
as Pastor Barrington Brennen teaches on the most
important passages given from the mouth of Jesus.
The series begin on Sabbath, July 18, 2015.

Redemption Adventist Church on the passing of his wife,
Lisa Monique Smith who passed away last week
after a long illness. She was 48.
Funeral service will be at the Grant's Town Church on
Sunday, July 26, 2015, at 1 p.m. Lisa Smith is the
sister to Tonia Atherley, a deaconess at Grant's Town
Church. Burial will be at the Western Cemetery.

to Speak at Grant's Town
Pastor
Leonard A. Johnson, president and Spirit of Prophecy
Director of the Atlantic Caribbean Union Conference will
be the guest speaker on Sabbath, July 25, at the Grant's
Town Church. He will be speaking on the
"Spirit of Prophecy in the Adventist Church."
He will also speaking in the afternoon at Adventist
Youth Ministries on this exciting subject.
