On
Friday night and Sabbath (November 13 and 14) Mrs. Olive
Fletcher will be the guest pianist for the Super Sabbath
weekend. She worked in The Bahamas in the
mid to late 50s at the school that was at the Grant's
Town Church. Mrs. Fletcher currently resides in
Miami, Florida. She is the wife of the late
Herbert Fletcher, former president of Northern Caribbean
University. The guest soloist will be
Gwendolyn McDeigan. She was invited as a soloist
very often in the old wooden church and the Annex church
when brother Ferment and A. Leon Roach were choir
directors. She also performed duets with Alfred
Brennen. Both of these

It is
with sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of
Valderie Firstena Saunders, age 58, on Sunday
morning, September 27, 2015. She collapsed during
her regular jogging time near Cable Bahamas, Nassau, and
was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital in an
ambulance where she died. Funeral
is on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at 1 p.m..

church. We miss her already.
85th
Anniversary and Supper Sabbath Combined
November
11-14, 2015 will be a great time at Grant's Town
Seventh-day Adventist Church. On Wednesday,
November 11 to Friday, November 13, we will celebrate
our 85th Church Anniversary. Then on Sabbath,
November 14, 12 will merge the annual Supper Sabbath.
It is going to be great. Supper Sabbath is a
full day of inspirational preaching by various
pastors--From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. A sumptuous
lunch will be served. Plan to stay with us all
day.
