Women’s Healing and Empowerment
Network
USA, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2008
by Mable Dunbar as a response to the growing need
for programs and services to address the issues of
domestic violence and sexual abuse in the faith
community including the Adventist Church. Mable C.
Dunbar, Ph.D., is President and CEO of Women's Healing
and Empowerment Network, and Executive Director of
Patty’s, Frieda’s and Ellen’s Healing Centers. These are
homes for women and children who are experiencing abuse.

WHEN operates in the USA five safe or transition
homes for abused women. |

United Kingdom (UK),
a
non-profit organization, was founded in 2011 by Joan
Saunders. It is an extension of WHEN in the
United States of America. It began in
September 2011 with a Prayer Line for abused persons.
A safe house for women and girls is coming soon.

WHEN operates a 24/7 prayer line for abused women
in England. They are planning to have a safe home

and Empowerment Network Board and assists occasionally in
conducting seminars and training.
